Brands Hatch..*ahem*...Watkins Glen Race

Posted by kensethfan on October 17, 2010 at 4:17 PM Comments comments (0)

I had some problems with the Brands Hatch track, so I had to take NNRCS to Watkins Glen instead. I had to take off a couple cars from the rear of the field so I'd have enough slots for said race, so now I have two more cars that are put on the sidelines.

Let me tell you, this race was a disaster on wheels.

This race ranks up there with the 2005 United States Grand Prix. Wait for the recap, You'll see.

By the way, Eric Trader won't be back for the rest of the season. I got an older TTS voice instead.

Changes to be made to OWR Division

Posted by kensethfan on August 19, 2010 at 11:58 AM Comments comments (0)

There's going to be some shuffling around on the schedule, because some of the tracks on the Open Wheel Division's Schedule only hold 20 cars. The following tracks I can confirm, and are off the schedule:

Monza

Monaco

Isle of Man

Walt Disney is likely to take place of Monza. Walt Disney hosted a few Camping World Truck Series races in NASCAR, and hosted a few IndyCar races as well.

A switch in mod selection has been made. The mod used for this division will now be the V8 Indycars mod by SmiffsDen. You can download it at their forums, but you must register if you don't already have an account.

Status on Kentucky Qualifying Race, NNRCS Video Game?

Posted by kensethfan on July 27, 2010 at 8:35 PM Comments comments (0)

We're clear. Sami Joubert, Robby Bannister and Josh Lambeth are all locked into the race, therefore they do not have to run it.

NNRCS has considered making a video game out of their series, updates to come.

NNRCS O'Reilly Raceway Park Recap

First video with Sony Vegas and Expressivo, the IVONA text-to-speech program. It's a little faulty, so if you can suggest a different text-to-speech engine, speak now or forever hold your peace.

For those of you who have no intrest searching for old posts so you know what to expect from us, I'll just explain breifly:

-NNRCS to be splitting in half; NNRCS Senior Division (Ages 17 and up) and NNRCS Junior Division (Ages 10-16)

-NNRCS Open Wheel Division returns, International Stock Car Drivers Division in the works

-Qualifying races for next season

-As a result of the six month delay, skipping to final five races of the season, so we head to Kentucky rather then Michigan

By the way, we might run qualifying races for Kentucky, although we have to little excess cars to do so, I'll have to do some asking around...

NNRCS has made a return, Could undergo namechange following next season; International Stock Car Division?

Posted by kensethfan on July 10, 2010 at 11:51 PM Comments comments (0)
My brother and I recently re-installed my Vista and NR2003. I'm currently in the progress of putting together the broken pieces of the game. I'll finish the ORP recap, then move on with the final five races of the season while I finish up next season's contigencies, recreate the registration form with a form builder, then move on with next season. It has come to my attention that NNRCS has somewhat become an independent league, otherwise I wouldn't be posting this. We could go name change if the fans approve of it. NNRCS might also have a International Stock Car Division. Based on the nationality of the drivers, they will partner with others of that nationality to race for the win, and the top driver in points at the end of the 2nd to last race will compete for their nation in the last race. The races will have two segements, each the same amount of laps. After segement 1, a driver change will be needed. These races could run the same schedule as the OW Division, but it isn't likely.

NNRCS is to be back within next few days

Quote from NNRacing.com on July 6, 2010:

"

This'll take a bit of explaining, so I'll do the best I can to do so.

It started with a thread on a computer help forum, where I found that the bug on my computer wasn't Conficker.

Couple days later, I came to my brother, asking if there was anything he could do about NR2003, but to no avail. He tried again later on. Nothing. He and I discovered that there was nothing we could do about it, and a system re-install was in order. To do so, we'd need a certain disk that came with this computer. I've got all the important stuff on 2 USB drives, so when the re-install is finished, I can continue with the remainder of this season, finish up the contigencies that are currently in the works, have all the sign-ups concluded, and get on with next season.

If NNRCS hasn't returned by the 11th, then it won't be back for 3 weeks. My brother is going to Maryland for some college program in those 3 weeks. We'll do the best we can, but we're procrastinating a little bit...."
